Distraction is not what you need when you’re adding salt to the main course dish you’ll be serving the family in a few hours. But then again I really do count missing my fav daily soaps as distraction so I’m all for having separate TV sets for the kitchen, garage, and the loo, if possible. And the fact that the new Westinghouse Flip TV is super slim as well as super flexible really helps. The 16-inch PT-16H610S LCD can apparently flip and fold itself to squeeze into crammed spaces like kitchen shelves. With a 180-degree rotation on the front bezel, 1080p HDMI input and the fact that it can also double up as a digital photo frame, makes this Westinghouse marvel just the ideal small TV. The cute idiot box is also quite handy as a countertop unit, wall mounting, or even if you wanna hang it at the bottom of your cabinets. The flexible set will hit stores a fortnight from now and is expected to sell for $349.

There is some really good news for kitchen moms (and of course anyone else who has a passion for the kitchen) who really does not trust the tap water for cleaning and washing food items- especially stuff like fruit and salad which are usually eaten raw. Well, help is at hand with the new kitchen gadget called ‘The Chemical Free Food Sanitizer’.

This gizmo cleans and disinfects fruits, vegetables and meats by spinning it with water and O3 (ozone) without using any chemicals or bleaching agents in about 4 minutes. Just pop in the food, whiz zit and viola - clean, safe and healthy food ready to be eaten!

Apart from killing harmful bacteria which can cause innumerable food-borne diseases, it also eliminates stale and moldy odors from kitchen closets and refrigerator with the help of a spray bottle leaving them fresh and pleasant smelling. The gadget comes with a couple of additional attachments which help you to clean and disinfect kitchen utensils, slabs and anything else with ozone-treated water.

The Sanitizer especially comes in handy when you have small children, infants or elders in the family who are more prone to allergies and diseases in which case, the device offers a sense of reassurance. Since the instrument is button operated and requires only regular tap water to be poured in, even the less techno-savvy people can use it with ease. With an LCD screen for instructions, alerts and audible warnings, one cant’ possibly go wrong with it.

Since it’s not a very huge device, it would easily fit into any quaint corner in the kitchen when not in use. What’s more, it has even won the Time Magazine Award for ‘Best Invention’ which takes care of all our doubts about purchasing it. This kitchen addition is actually a steal at $150.

Ever thought of a museum full of salt and pepper shakers? Well, here’s your dream museum. People in Iowa were really moved by one woman’s salt and pepper shaker collection. So, with the fund coming from the city council of Traer, a museum will be created. The Traer museum will be home to Ruth Rasmussen’s collection of salt and pepper shakers.

I think people in the Traer community probably got way creative with their ideas on how to spend the grant they received from the city council. The $12,500 approved by the council is actually a local option sales tax. With this money the council will receive about 14,400 pairs of salt and pepper shakers. Wow! That’s an insane number of table items.

Traer community members have been brainstorming this idea of starting a salt and pepper shaker museum. At a particular point, Rasmussen’s collection of salt and peppers were considered to be the largest by the Guinness Book of World Records. Rasmussen’s shakers come from around the U.S. as well as from all over the globe in various shapes and sizes.

I think the best part is Rasmussen’s logbook. People from all around the world visit Iowa to check out Rasmussen’s collectibles. These collectibles are good enough attractions for motorists passing through Traer on U.S. Highway 63. So, it is worth to devote a museum on Rasmussen’s collector shakes.

I’m not sure whether these new retro style cookers will feature any additional technical features, but I can definitely guarantee that these majestic cookers from Heartland Appliances Inc. will certainly give you a reason to spend some more time in the kitchen.

Although I don’t have any details on hand for these stunning cookers, I was reluctant to let them slip away from your eyes. Cooking is no easy job; however, it can be made so. How? Well, the answer to almost every problem related to cooking comes with this Siemens 36″ avantGarde Gas on Glass cooktop, ER947501UC. I fell in love with this piece at the first look and I can say that I have never ever seen such an elegant and beautiful cooking system. The system features one-piece black ceramic glass which unifies with 5 sealed burners not only in design but also as per the arty class. Out of the five, one19100 BTU Siemens wok burner makes sure that anything can be cooked even those items which need high levels of heat. The rest 4 burners supply up to 26000 BTUs. The extra large Grates can handle enough pressure and thus, no need to fear when you place those heavy iron skillets provided by your grandma for cooking.

The system also features professional front controls with a stainless steel trim. Another nice and safety feature of this system is that if by chance the fame dies the ‘flameSafe Auto Shutoff’ feature instantly causes the burners to close. With so many functional features too, the gas system is pretty easy to clean. The price is a grand $1,819 USD but looking at its functions and designs, no wonders, it deserves to fetch this much amount. Believe me, it is not just any other cooking system, it is the ER947501UC. As I said, it is one solution to all your cooking problems, only make sure that you know which ingredients to use when.

This latest design in sinks by Edda called ‘Eme Love Sink’ won’t only make your kitchen look different and beautiful but will also win your darlings heart. The sink has a large platform and the shape of a heart doesn’t at all constrict it but rather widens up the surface. The sink won’t be an overstatement for sure and it seems quite functional too. The sink is deep enough to accommodate a big bunch of plates and culinary and the sides provide nice space for soap, detergents etc. No wonders, it will be a centre of focus for everyone hwo will be passing through your kitchen, so better be prepared for a jealous behavior from the home maker at the end of the day.

They neither want to miss office, nor do they want to miss their breakfast because in today’s health conscious world it has been told much too often that a healthy breakfast is something one should never miss. So, we need that toast in the morning while we scurry around to get ready for the office and if the toast gets stuck in the toast, there could be nothing more bothersome. To solve the problem Siemens have come with a long slot ‘Executive’ toaster that allows one to push bread farther up.

Therefore, with this toaster at home you could say goodbye to the times when you had to reach into the grill to retrieve the stuck piece of bread. The toaster has a single slot but it’s sufficiently broad. So long as they do not make a toaster in which the bread doesn’t get stuck, this one would do. Right?

Have you heard of this Tag line by a famous company which serves all ur needs in the US called “One call does it all”?? However its not a “call” which is going to serve all your needs, but a multipurpose “Knife”. Can you imagine your kitchen table with no heavy electrical appliances like the food processor or blenders?? Sounds quiet “spacious” right?? Well basic knives will surely serve this purpose by saving all the valuable space to be converted into your precious spacious workstation.

Credit goes to designer Caroline Noordijk whose innovation is working wonders in all the famous kitchen’s. These knives have been designed to meet all the cutting needs by having different blades with the required sharpness to make it a multipurpose knife. These set of knives makes other kitchen tools unnecessary by assimilating different (cutting)-actions within the un-used surfaces of the blades.
So Happy Cutting!

With style creeping into every aspect of our daily life why not give our kitchen a stylish clean up as well? Now you think I sound crazy? Well, I am not crazy you can indeed get down to doing away with the so called bacteria or fungus or even your pet cat’s puke stains within moments and that too using chic state of art technology. I am talking about the Culinary Prep, the Lotus Sanitizing System from Tersano.

What is this exceptional sanitizing system after all? This one of a kind device is built in such a way that a blast of ozone from it works to eliminate any bacteria, fungus that a surface in your kitchen or water or raw foods may be harboring. The device is environment friendly and works on the basis of a chemical reaction. Air is taken into the device and subjected to an electric current this causes the conversion of oxygen molecules to ozone. It is this ozone that on coming in contact with any surface or organism reacts with it. The eventual effect being the organisms are killed.

To help you out a squirt bottle is provided in which you can collect water that has been infused with ozone. The whole process of obtaining a bowl of ozone infused water should take you about just four minutes. It is claimed that using this water to wash up your veggies or fruits or tabletops can help you get rid of 99% of the microbes plaguing their surfaces. The ozone infused water is said to be effective for as long as 15 minutes.

Many would be wary of using the appliance owing to the possible harm ozone could cause human beings. However there is nothing to worry as the machine gives out small amounts of ozone to be of any danger to humans. As a precaution, people are advised not to drink out of the squirt bottle. The by-product given out as well is harmless as it is mere oxygen molecules.

Well, so now you have a clean kitchen and appropriately washed veggies and fruits thanks to the lotus sanitizing system. However, do you know how much did that just cost you? The home ozone generator will draw you a bill of $169.99. Therefore, style does come at a price!
